Marlene Engelhorn, an Austrian millionaire whose family fortune derives from BASF, part of the Nazi-era IG Farben conglomerate that produced Zyklon B gas for the Holocaust’s gas chambers, inherits wealth tied to the genocide of millions of Jews.
Now, she plans to join a Gaza “Freedom Flotilla,” accusing Israel of genocide. The coalition includes the Turkish-based İHH, long criticized for anti-Israel campaigns and links to extremist networks, including Hamas support; Germany banned İHH in 2010 for funding Hamas-related groups.
Despite humanitarian claims, flotillas deliver minimal aid, face legal interception in war zones, and achieve little practical impact. UN data shows 87-90% of aid trucks entering Gaza since May 2025 are looted by armed militants or civilians before reaching destinations, highlighting inefficiencies rather than effective relief.
The irony is stark: an heiress profiting from Nazi genocide now campaigns against the Jewish state.
