Hamas’s “Starvation Campaign” Misleads Public, Claims Defense Review

A defense establishment review accuses Hamas of orchestrating a “starvation campaign” to falsely portray deaths from pre-existing medical conditions as malnutrition for political gain. For example, images of four-year-old Abdullah Hani Muhammad Abu Zarqa were shared, alleging hunger in Gaza. COGAT found he suffers from a genetic disease causing vitamin deficiencies, osteoporosis, and bone thinning, inherited by family members. Four months before the war, Israel approved his treatment at Al-Makassed Hospital in east Jerusalem. Hamas’s campaign allegedly exploits tragic cases to generate anti-Israel sentiment.
