Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a stern warning following a UAV attack on Eilat, where 20 people were injured, including two with serious limb injuries. In a statement reported by The Jerusalem Post, Katz said, “Wishing a full recovery to the wounded from the UAV attack in Eilat. The Houthi terrorists refuse to learn from Iran, Lebanon, and Gaza—and will learn the hard way. Whoever harms Israel will be harmed sevenfold.”
The attack, claimed by Iran-backed Houthi militants, targeted the Red Sea resort town, marking one of the most serious incidents in terms of casualties. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed efforts to intercept the drone, but it struck despite defenses, prompting a robust response from Katz. His remarks echo a broader Israeli strategy of retaliation, as seen in recent operations against Hamas and Hezbollah leaders, including the eliminations of Ismail Haniyeh and Hassan Nasrallah, operations praised by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Mossad Director David Barnea.
