On October 1, 2025, the Mossad announced the uncovering of a terror cell in Germany suspected of ties to Hamas and planning attacks on Israeli and Jewish targets. The operation, conducted in close cooperation with German security and intelligence agencies, led to the arrest of three cell members who were found in possession of weapons believed to be intended for the attacks.
This bust is part of Mossad’s broader activities across Europe in recent weeks, including operations in Austria, where weapons caches were discovered and additional arrests made. The Mossad emphasized its commitment to thwarting terrorist activities targeting Israelis and Jews abroad, coordinating with global partners to ensure security.
The incident highlights the ongoing threat of Hamas-linked extremism in Europe, where rising antisemitism has prompted heightened vigilance. German authorities, including the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV), played a key role in the arrests, underscoring the importance of international collaboration in counter-terrorism.
