Documents from Gaza Reveal Al-Jazeera’s Close Coordination with Hamas

Gaza – On October 25, 2025, the Jerusalem Post reported on documents uncovered by the IDF in Gaza, exposing a deep coordination between Al-Jazeera and Hamas. The files, dated from 2023-2024, show Hamas providing the network with specific coverage instructions, including directives to avoid terms like “massacre” when describing Islamic Jihad actions in Jabalia. One document indicates Al-Jazeera’s management approved this cooperation, suggesting a systematic alignment with Hamas’s narrative.

Another file details Hamas’s efforts to establish a secure communication line for real-time broadcast guidance, allowing the group to influence reporting during key events. The revelations, part of broader intelligence gathered during the ceasefire, highlight Al-Jazeera’s role as an “international news network controlled by a terrorist organization,” as labeled by Israeli officials. Qatar, Al-Jazeera’s owner, has denied the claims, calling them “fabricated propaganda.”
