Jerusalem – March 2026 The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced overnight that the Israeli Air Force conducted a large-scale wave of precision strikes on key Iranian regime infrastructure in and around Tehran. The operation targeted multiple high-value military and security sites belonging to the Iranian defense establishment and terror-supporting apparatus.
Among the confirmed targets struck:
- An Iranian military base used for training personnel and storing missile systems designed to threaten aircraft
- A major weapons production and storage facility operated by Iran’s Ministry of Defense
- A dedicated weapons production site belonging to the IRGC Aerospace Force
- A headquarters of the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence
- The emergency command center of Iran’s Internal Security Forces (Basij/LEF)
The IDF described the strikes as part of the ongoing operational phase to “further degrade the core systems and foundations of the Iranian terror regime.” All targets were selected based on precise intelligence linking them to Iran’s missile production, air-defense capabilities, and internal repression apparatus used against its own citizens.
The announcement comes amid continued escalation following the elimination of Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei’s father (Ayatollah Ali Khamenei) and senior IRGC commanders in prior operations, as well as Iran’s threats to close the Strait of Hormuz and retaliate against U.S. bases in the Gulf.
No immediate Iranian confirmation or casualty figures have been released.
