The White House announced an extension for Hamas to respond to President Donald Trump’s proposed Middle East Peace Deal, giving the group until the end of the week to accept or reject the terms. The plan, unveiled last month, includes a ceasefire, full hostage release, and Gaza reconstruction, with Trump and Tony Blair leading a supervisory body. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated, “Hamas has been granted this brief extension to consider the framework, which offers eternal peace in the Middle East.” The move comes amid reports of Hamas showing early signs of openness, though internal divisions persist, with the military wing holding sway over the hostages.
