Netanyahu Vows Victory and Unity in Gaza War Memorial Speech, Eyes Abraham Accords Expansion

Jerusalem – On October 7, 2025, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a powerful address at the official state ceremony commemorating the fallen of the Gaza war, marking the second anniversary of the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack. Speaking at Mount Herzl, he declared, “We are determined to complete the victory that will shape our lives for many years to come,” emphasizing Israel’s resolve to secure lasting security. Hinting at Iran, he added, “Great challenges still lie ahead, from our enemies who seek to rearm,” signaling ongoing concerns about Tehran’s support for Hamas and Hezbollah.

Netanyahu highlighted “major and dramatic opportunities” to expand the Abraham Accords, pointing to potential new peace agreements with Arab nations following the recent U.S.-brokered Gaza ceasefire. He stressed the need for unity, stating, “What is required in both is unity—unity in war and unity in peace. We will achieve all our goals only through internal cohesion. Together we will prevail.” The ceremony honored the 1,200 killed and celebrated the release of all 48 hostages, a milestone in Trump’s peace plan.
