Multiple airports in the U.S. and Canada were hit by cyberattacks on October 15, 2025, with hackers breaching public address systems and flight information screens to broadcast pro-Palestinian messages like “Free Palestine” and “F**k Netanyahu and Trump.” Airports in Pennsylvania, British Columbia, and Ontario were among the hardest hit, with passengers at Philadelphia International Airport hearing the chants echo through terminals, causing confusion and delays.
The group “Turkish Cyber Islam” claimed responsibility in a post on Telegram, stating the hacks were “in solidarity with Gaza” amid the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Affected facilities included Toronto Pearson, Vancouver International, and several U.S. regional airports. Authorities quickly restored systems, but the incident disrupted flights and heightened security alerts.
This attack follows a pattern of cyber activism tied to the conflict, with previous hacks targeting Israeli sites. The FBI and RCMP are investigating, calling it a “cyber intrusion with political motives.” No immediate threats to safety were reported, but the disruption underscores vulnerabilities in critical infrastructure.
