Breaking: IDF Launches Strike in Gaza After Hamas Attacks Soldiers Behind Yellow Line

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted a targeted airstrike in Gaza in response to Hamas attempts to injure soldiers behind the “Yellow Line,” the withdrawal boundary established under the U.S.-brokered ceasefire. Video footage from the incident shows the IDF responding swiftly to Hamas militants who crossed the line, firing on IDF positions in a bid to disrupt the fragile peace.

The “Yellow Line,” part of President Donald Trump’s peace plan, marks Israel’s partial withdrawal from Gaza, with markers installed to enforce compliance. Hamas, required to disarm under the agreement, has refused, with senior official Basem Naeem stating the group will retain weapons until full statehood. This attack, the first major violation since the ceasefire’s first phase, risks unraveling the hostage releases and reconstruction efforts.

IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari confirmed the strike neutralized three militants, stating, “Hamas’s aggression will not be tolerated. The Yellow Line is sacred to the ceasefire.” The IDF’s Arabic spokesperson Avichay Adraee warned Gaza residents to avoid areas used by Hamas for attacks.
