Jerusalem – On October 26, 2025, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the successful strike on a terrorist from the Islamic Jihad organization, who was planning an immediate attack against IDF forces in Gaza. The operation, conducted in the Beit Lahia area, targeted the individual identified as a key operative involved in coordinating imminent threats against Israeli troops operating near the Yellow Line, the ceasefire boundary established under the U.S.-brokered peace plan.
According to IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari, intelligence indicated the terrorist was preparing to launch an assault using improvised explosives and small arms. The precision airstrike, using an Air Force drone, neutralized the threat without reported civilian casualties. This action underscores Israel’s commitment to enforcing the ceasefire and preventing violations by Hamas and its allies, including Islamic Jihad, which has been accused of internal violence in Gaza.
