IDF Eliminates Eight Hezbollah Operatives in Northern Lebanon Operations

Jerusalem – October 27–November 2, 2025, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted targeted operations in northern Lebanon, eliminating eight Hezbollah operatives, six of whom were from the elite Radwan Unit, including its logistics support officer. The strikes also killed a maintenance officer in the Kounine area. These operatives were actively involved in rebuilding Hezbollah’s military infrastructure and restoring the group’s offensive capabilities following recent setbacks.

In addition to the eliminations, the IDF struck Hezbollah’s military assets, including rocket launchers, and targeted civilian reconstruction efforts used as cover for the group’s recovery. Engineering equipment supporting these dual-use projects was destroyed to prevent Hezbollah from regaining strength.

The operations, part of Israel’s ongoing enforcement of the ceasefire agreement, aim to degrade Hezbollah’s ability to threaten Israeli civilians. IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari emphasized that these actions are “precise and proportionate,” minimizing civilian harm while addressing immediate threats. Lebanon’s government condemned the strikes, calling for restraint, but Israel maintains they are necessary to uphold the truce.

This week’s actions follow a pattern of low-intensity clashes, with Hezbollah accused of violations along the Blue Line. As the ceasefire holds tenuously, these strikes underscore Israel’s determination to prevent a return to full-scale war.
