Tehran / Beirut – March 2026 Iranian and regional sources report a wave of high-profile eliminations in the past few days as Israeli and U.S.-led operations continue to target key personnel within Iran’s military and nuclear apparatus, as well as its proxy networks.
- Hassan Hasanzadeh, commander of the “Mohammad Rasoulallah” force of the IRGC, responsible for coordinating ground forces of the Revolutionary Guards and Basij in Tehran, has been eliminated, according to Iranian reports.
- General Majid Zakariai, commander of Iran’s natural resources defense forces, died of wounds sustained in an attack on Saturday.
- Hezbollah’s court correspondent Ali Shuaib was reportedly eliminated by Israel in the Jezzine area of southern Lebanon, according to enemy-affiliated channels.
- Mohammad-Reza Kia, a member of Iran’s nuclear program, was killed in a strike last Saturday, per Iranian opposition sources.
- Ali Fouladvand, head of research at Iran’s Organization of Defensive Innovation and Research (SPND) — the successor to the country’s pre-2004 nuclear weapons program — was killed along with members of his family in airstrikes on Borujerd on Saturday morning. Iranian media described him as an “ordinary citizen,” despite SPND’s role in sensitive military research. Fouladvand had previously survived an attack during the June 2025 “12-Day War,” in which his wife was killed.
These strikes reflect a continued focus on degrading Iran’s command structure, nuclear-related expertise, and proxy capabilities amid the ongoing conflict.
