Beirut – November 6, 2025: Hezbollah released a rare open letter to Lebanon’s top leaders, warning against any negotiations with Israel and labeling them “a betrayal of the resistance and the blood of the martyrs.” The group vowed to block U.S.- and European-backed efforts to open direct or indirect talks on land/maritime borders and UN Resolution 1701 implementation.
The letter slams any move toward dialogue as “serving Zionist objectives” and insists Hezbollah alone decides the rules of engagement. It comes days after President Joseph Aoun said Lebanon “has no choice but to negotiate,” exposing deep divisions within the state.
With the fragile ceasefire holding but Israeli strikes continuing, Hezbollah’s public threat risks derailing regional stabilization efforts.
